I spent more than sixteen years on tour with the Grateful Dead making and selling tie-dyes. Upon  Jerry Garcia's passing I had a stint in corporate America, finally saving enough money to move to the great north woods and start working on Superior Dyeworks.

When I am not working, (which is rare), I sneak off to go camping, hiking, fishing and paddling the canoe around in the area that is our beautiful backyard, The Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
